I usually watch the more left leaning "Meet The Press" and the more right leaning "Fox News Sunday because I think it is important to pay attention to both sides. Today I only caught the FNS but that was entertaining. Clearly Republican partisans are depending on their supporters to be just uneducated. The RNC chair, Ronna McDaniel, repeated many times that Comey had violated the rules of presidential privilege, despite the absolute truth of there being no presidential privilege involved in what happened in the Green Room. Even the president's team didn't declare privilege until Comey testified that he had sent his personal memorandum to his friend.
Guess what? Just repeating over and over again doesn't establish privilege which has rules and restrictions. Even Trump's lawyers told him before the testimony that privilege would not adhere because he had already destroyed that privilege. Of course Trump's supporters don't understand the rules of law, the rules of privilege, or pretty much anything except that they like Trump. The current data about his supporters is that 77% of them think he speaks the truth.
Oh my poor country.
